I Was Thinking About Cy Twombly
I was experimenting with marks and the erasing of these marks. I felt like this piece had a lot of action and motion. I was also thinking about Jonathan Laskers mark making and carefully planned layering or random "squigly" marks. Generally I do this kind of work when I don't feel like designing characters or robots. I enjoy doing these sort of experiments as warm up pieces. It allows one to set their mind free from restrictions. Design work generally require rules such as understanding human anatomy, or following toning or hatching techniques. (There are much more techniques that have not mentioned)
This kind of work allows the creator to fly around their blank page and buildup some confidence.
