Kyoto Imperial Palace

This area was supposed to be a quick stop for me, as I was trying to walk from Ginkakuji temple all the way to Nijo castle. The walk would eventually sour my Nijo experience for the day, but before all of that I had two more stops to make which were in the form of this imperial castle and manga museum. 

The imperial castle area was a HUGE park. It was a large park like area with a castle with a palace located in the middle of it. Besides the palace, there actually isn't much to do around here. It's probably a nice place to come for a jog or a walk. It was also rather empty and most of the tourists were old Japanese locals.
