The behemoth was a monster that I was introduced to by the video game series Final Fantasy. In the Final Fantasy series he is usually a monster that appears near the end of the game. It is usually depicted as some kind of lion like beast on steroids. According to wikipedia the behemoth is a chaos beast that appeared alongside the Leviathan and were chaos beasts compromised of incredible strength. Some suggestions identify the beast with elephants, rhinoceroses, hippopotami or buffalo. My behemoth seems to fit the buffalo mould.
