Prague Sketchbook - Josef Lada

This one was a light hearted page. I couldn't find any information on the names that I wrote down on my page. I am guessing that I was responding to Josef Lada. There was a exhibition on Josef Lada while I was in Prague. This exhibition was some sort of retrospective on this artist. He is an illustrator by heart, but he is considered a fine artist from the way he is represented throughout Prague. I liked the light heartedness of his work. A lot of it focuses on the working class and he generally depicts a good amont of the local countryside and the community that is involved within the artists imagination. He also depicts a good amount of monsters. I really like monsters. The monsters weren't the only element that I was drawn by. I was really into the character design. The character reminded me of Herge's TinTin designs. Personally I feel like this is a pretty weak page within my sketchbook but I thought it would be nice to share my interest in character design elements of the art world.
