Kowloon Blues

The city of Kowloon. Kowloon is just a stones throw away from Hong Kong yet during my childhood in Hong Kong I had never tread far enough to reach the more industrial areas of Kowloon. The subject of this sketch is from a photo that I had found in google and as you can see from the drawing it's quite a cluster fuck. This one image summarizes many of Hong Kong's lower middle class lifestyle, yet this is the back bone of Hong Kong. This is the symbol of industry that had brought Hong Kong to it's feet, back when Hong Kong was just a subtle fishing village.
