Definitely one of the more illustrative pieces I've done up to date. I felt a little uncomfortable for leaning to far into the world of comics but at the same time I feel like I didn't delve completely into that genre by keeping some experimental elements. I guess deep down in my guts I want to make illustrative work but something keeps bothering me from going purely illustrative. I feel like the roots of this nagging sensation come from the past, during my time in school, when everyone was a maverick artist, and everyone wanted to break the norm.
