Uijeongbu Market Event

We had an event around our neighborhood, Uijeongbu. Our art committee had some kind of art contest event, and right across from the contest area there was an open market selling all kinds of goods. We were not exactly doing so well in the beginning because we were pretty under prepared. People stopped by to take a quick peek but no one had an idea on what kind of service we were offering, and the printing equipment that we had prepared was not working as planned, so everyone took turns running around the neighborhood trying to grab any kind of equipment that we could. After a bit of experimenting we were able to make something out of nothing, but by that time most of the day was over, and we were pretty low on morale.

We had decided to clear up the artwork up in front of the booth so we can prepare to pack up. After we cleared up some space two young girls approached our booth and starting asking questions about what we were doing. We explained to them that we were doing a DIY ecobag service where the client can design their own bags by using our print and drawing equipment. One of the girls seemed to be interested and she eventually opted to make her own bag. She apparently was learning design and she was the creative type. The ecobag image used above was the ecobag that was made by her.

After the girls made their ecobags we had gathered a small crowd who were interested in our services. From that point onward we had a scurry of clients, mostly parents and children who wanted to join in on the fun.

I've got to admit it was a pretty tiresome day but it was very eventful, and all of our members felt like this was a great learning experience. For out next market even, maybe we will be better prepared, and maybe we will have better products to offer.
