I drew this sometime in the latter half of last year, so I cannot remember the order of the layering. I think the lizard creature thing was drawn first, just so I can establish the general nature of the piece. The title text must have been drawn next, and with no real intention to say anything in particular. I believe that I was more focused in the design element of the logo/title design. The drawing of the clock was also a random element, but I believe my thought process was to find an image with a sense of depth. I think I wanted to play around with the sense of flatness and then layering it with images that had more value and depth.
